Washington and Oregon 2012 - Marymere Falls, Lake Crescent

The most beautiful waterfall on the Olympic Peninsula!  Well worth the mile .9 mile hike!  On our way out I got my "money shots" of the Stellar's Jay.

Park Ranger lady added for an interesting shot!

Previous three pics with the point and shoot.

Shutter speed slowed way down to blur the water.  Next time I am bringing a tripod.  It is really difficult with a monopod!

Tiny waterfall on the hike to Marymere, blurred.

Black-tailed Deer fawn on the way back to the parking lot.

Stellar's Jay in the parking lot.  It was actually hovering above a family at a picnic table.  I noticed a lot of them by garbages and dumpsters.

Marymere Falls is just off the highway that goes along the southern coast of Lake Crescent. One of the most picturesque lakes in the Pacific Northwest, it has crystal clear turquoise-colored water!

Two pics of Lake Crescent.

Totem!

A couple shots of the Olympic Mountain Range as we headed South towards Tacoma.  The top picture is Mount Olympus.  There is a hiking trail from Hoh Rainforest to the summit of the mountain.  Maybe next time...
